Christmas trees erected in the Square

Holsworthy & District Lions began paying for, and putting up, the Christmas trees in Holsworthy town square in the late 1970s, and have done so every year since. This year was no different except that the trees were very kindly donated by the Stevens family of Holsworthy.

Various Lions gathered in the Town Square on Sunday 23 November to put up this year’s trees – a total of four of them around the old pump – and a big star on top.

The Christmas lights in the Square will be turned on this Saturday – November 29th – by Geoffrey Cox MP when the Lions will also be doing a barbecue. There will be bands and other entertainment in the Square – the proceedings start at 4pm.
