2016 Duck Race
Conrad Ford collecting the 1st prize
After a year’s absence, the Holsworthy & District Lions annual duck race took to the water once again at this year’s Bridgerule Revels. Not literally though as it was thought to be too unsafe to get into the water. Instead, Revel Queen Holly Trayford drew the winning ticket. First prize of a mountain bike went to Conrad Ford of Holsworthy. The second and third prizes of a meal voucher for the Rydon Inn, and £20 were won by S Argyrow of Holsworthy and J Manifold of Bradford respectively. The bike was presented to Mr Ford at the White Hart Hotel in Holsworthy by Acting President Ray Fursdon and various members of the Lions Club.
