£100 B&Q voucher donated
Lions’ President David Smith with Sarah Coleman and Billy Luxton
On 15 September 2016 Holsworthy & District Lions presented a £100 B&Q voucher to the Pathfields Day Centre in Bude. Pathfields gives help to adults with learning disabilities and their families, and they aim to give individuals the opportunity to promote their citizenship, in their own style, within the community. Their ethos is to get people involved in the local community by taking part in a wide-range of local activities such as college courses, coffee mornings and sports activities. The day centre has been offering help and support to adults with learning disabilities for 28 years, and the money will be used to help maintain the summer house in the garden at the centre. The voucher was presented by Lions’ President David Smith to the centre’s Team Leader, Sarah Coleman, and to one of users of the centre, Billy Luxton.
